Registration Terms & Rules
In order to proceed, you must agree to the following:
Please take a moment to review these rules detailed below. If you agree with them and wish to proceed with the registration, simply click the "Register" button below. To cancel this registration, simply hit the 'back' button on your browser.

The more posts you make, the more forums you can access
There are some parts of the website that are accessible to members who have reached a certain rank/number/amount of sensible posts. By creating this requirement, PW has achieved the following goals:

• Encourage casual visitors to register, thus increasing the total membership.
• Discourage leeching (or getting, without contributing) by requiring members to post.
• Improve interaction among members as a result in the increase in posts.

Newbies can introduce themselves at the New Member Introductions section
Please include your name or your nickname on your introduction topic's title. Try to be descriptive. Members warm up more to newbies if they can relate better.

In starting new topics, make sure of the following:

* A similar thread does not exist anywhere. If another thread already exist, replies will be divided and the topic will be less effective/informative. This will also result in a very cluttered section.
* Use an appropriate title. There will be more replies if you use the proper title (or subject). Additionally, those who are not interested in your subject won't be inconvenienced.
* Be detailed and precise in your message. Failure to do so will only result in follow-up questions or wrong replies caused by mis-interpretations.
* Linked and locked topics may be pruned regularly to reduce page clutter. If you have a question about where your topic went, please PM a Moderator or Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was locked and/or removed.
* If the new topic has been closed by a moderator that topic may not be reopened by the thread starter even if they have the ability to do so. If you feel that your topic has been closed unduly you may request a review from any of the administrators.

Procedures on how to share and request for contact info with clients or fellow members:

If you have a phone number or email to share especially with job postings, do not post the actual number/email ad in the board. Just give a description of the person and ask those who are interested to Private Message (PM) you. Failure to comply with this regulation will result to having your posting automatically deleted by the Moderators without notice.

Distributing the number via PM has 4 benefits:

* You'll be able to keep track of the people you give the number to.
* You can choose whom to give the number to.
* In case of problems, we can trace the offending member and disable his account.
* Public posting of phone numbers in any format (i.e. using letters in the place of numbers) is strictly prohibited. This includes using a phone number as a handle/nickname or including it in a signature.

At all times please respect the other members
You may not make personal attacks on other users or staff members either in public forums or private messages. There will be no posts meant to offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory.

Rules on Avatars, Signatures, Pictures and Graphics

* Maximum allowed size for images/pictures is 158x100 pixels. Please refrain from posting sexually explicit pictures. If you find any images posted on the forums that are in violation of any of the above, please inform the administrators or moderators so they may be removed. Images/pictures may be removed at the discretion of the Administraors and Moderators if they believe them to be in violation of any of the above set rules
* Only images and text are allowed as avatars. Please refrain from using, attaching or linking to sound/audio files. Flash is allowed as long as they do not affect site navigation or board format.
* for signatures, please view the guidlines here

For job postings, please use the Jobs section of the Philweavers Website
However, disputes involving engagements cosumated with the help of the "Jobs" section will not be the responsibility of PhilWeavers. PW will also decline to mediate between parties should problems arise.

When coming up with a topic title, strive to be descriptive
Keep your subject line relevant to the contents of your message posting.

Discussions on software and other forms of piracy is a no-no
Our network is against all forms of piracy therefore we discourage designers who rip OR COPY other designers*' WORKS* to veer away from this practice. Such practice is not tolerated within our ranks and violations when found out are dealt with severely. Members who are caught copying or ripping other sites will be suspended/banned from the website for 6 months for the first offense and will be deleted from the membership on the second offense both with a public statement citing the reasons for his suspension/removal. Members who persist on discussing use of pirated software will be deleted and banned from PhilWeavers.

When replying to postings with content that has already strayed from the original posting, please indicate so in the subject line

Off-topic postings must be preceded by "Off-Topic:" or "OT:" in the subject line
and must be "paid for" with a relevant web tip following the message area of the posting.

Our forum system automatically discards nested quotes
when quoting a post, but as much as possible, further trim the quote down to the phrase or sentence you are replying to.

Please avoid posting one-liners that do not add to the topic discussion / create new discussions.
One liners will be deleted without prior notice to the poster.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of PhilWeavers.
Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by PM. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted.
We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

You may not advertise or promote other organizations which may compete with those of PhilWeavers.net without written consent
Remember to post in the correct forum
Take your time to look at other topics and see where your topic should go. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it will be moved by a moderator. The same rule holds for individual posts. If a posts is found to be off topic it will be deleted without warning by our moderators so post wisely.

Wrong Topic
If a topic is recognized as being posted in the wrong forum, or if the post is a violation of our guidelines then please contact a moderator either via PM or the 'report post to moderator' feature; please do not respond publicly to the member - a member of staff will do what is required upon contact. Any person/s who attempt to present themselves as a Moderator by posting negatively to a member's topic (which has been posted in error and requires locking or moving to another forum) will be sent a PM warning and placed into moderation queue upon further actions.

Trolls, flamers, spammers
who has exceeded their warning boxes will be automatically banned without prior deliberation or notice given by the moderators. We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community. We will be fair and provide warning in most cases. Spamming is not permitted; please keep all your posts as constructive as possible. If you think a member's post classifies as spam please PM the Moderators

Profiles
You may edit your profile info however you wish however impersonation and faking info with ill intent will be dealt with accordingly. As this is a Web Design and Web Development board for Filipinos, you are encouraged to keep your profile info web design related.

Let's keep things clean.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

The last rule of fight club: The Admins and Moderators are the powers that be in PhilWeavers
Forum Moderators are community volunteers that give up their time to help build a better PhilWeavers community. Users may not argue a moderators decision publicly. Mods follow rules as stipulated in the Rules and Regulations and will stick with them but for special cases will create new rules as they see fit. Expect no democracy. Respect them and they will respect you.
